Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Produksi Cabai Merah di Kecamatan Simpang Tiga Kabupaten Aceh Besar

Abstract

This study aims to analyze farm revenue and identify the factors affecting red chili production in Simpang Tiga District, Aceh Besar Regency. The study employed a survey method with a quantitative approach. The samples were selected using a simple random sampling method, involving 22 red chili farmers as respondents. Data analysis was conducted by calculating farm revenue and applying multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effects of land area, seed, urea fertilizer, TSP fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, labor, and pesticides on red chili production. The results showed that the average red chili production was 584 kg per production season, with an average selling price of IDR 38,863/kg, resulting in an average farm revenue of IDR 22,695,992 per production season. The F-test results indicated that land area, seed, urea fertilizer, TSP fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, labor, and pesticides simultaneously had no significant effect on red chili production, with an F-count of 2.532, which was lower than the F-table value of 2.76. Partially, seed, NPK fertilizer, and pesticides had a significant effect on red chili production, while land area, urea fertilizer, TSP fertilizer, and labor had no significant effect. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.503, indicating that 50.3% of the variation in red chili production could be explained by the variables included in the model, while the remaining 49.7% was influenced by other factors outside the model. These findings highlight the importance of using production inputs appropriately and efficiently, particularly seed, NPK fertilizer, and pesticides, to support increased red chili production.
